First Audi Lounge opens in Damascus& the Middle East
In the presence of the German Ambassador H.E. Jeff Mannering, Managing Director of Audi Middle East, the first stand-alone Audi Lounge in the Middle East region was opened by Mr. Omar Karkour, Chairman of Karkour Trading Company, on Al Mazzeh Highway on the evening of January 24th. The Audi Lounge allows Audi fans and car fans in general to soc
ialize and interact with Audi in an environment which conveys the Vorsprung durch Technik spirit (Advancement through Technology) in an innovative new way. Many faces of Damascus’s elite society as well as media from across Syria attended the opening and discovered the lounge’s different sections, including accessories, apparel as well as a vehicle display. The Audi Lounge is unique with its sophisticated ambience which reflects the preferences of Audi owners. Conventional menus have been replaced with iPads and a luxurious sound system entertains guests with subtle music, just like in Audi’s luxurious cars. Dr. Andreas Reinicke commented: “I am proud that the lounge that carries the name of one of the biggest German companies is in the heart of Damascus, the oldest capital in the world. This event reflects the flourishing business relations between the two countries. Omar Karkour’s efforts in activating the role of the Syrian German Business Council and strengthening both countries’ ties.”
