Tuesday night, something happened that we will carry with us for a long time. 🌿

At the Fine Dining Table Gala, our Chef Oscar Gutiérrez was honored with the Chef Revelation award. 💫 Nan Tal received the distinction of 1 Sartén de Fuego. 🔥 And Palo Verde Sustainable Hotel, the place we proudly call home, was recognized as Best Hotel. ✨

The Pulpo a la Parrilla is a Nan Tal Special for a reason, and one bite makes that reason clear.

Grilled octopus marinated with a dry chillies rub, served over spicy mashed potatoes, roasted baby corn and a touch of cilantro aioli. Every element on this plate is deliberate: the char of the grill, the depth of the chillies, the warmth of the potato underneath. Bold, grounded and crafted with the kind of intention this kitchen is known for.

The Signature Shrimp Cocktail is a Nan Tal special that deserves its moment. 😮‍💨

Shrimp in a sauce made of dried chilis, peanuts and onion. Deep, layered and unlike anything you’d expect from a cocktail. Served with platanitos on the side, every element on this plate earns its place. This is the dish that surprises you, then makes you wonder why you waited so long to order it. 😉

Some plates don’t need to be the loudest on the menu to be the most memorable. 🔥

Here Comes the Sun is a two-night series at Playa El Zonte where local drinks, live music, and the Pacific at golden hour collide.

Day 1 brings Carlos Neda and a Corona Sunset on April 2.
Day 2 closes with DJ Ma Fonk .fonk and the Local Drinks Fest x Ron Cihuatán on April 4.

Nan-goneada, Tukutal, and cold Coronas. All under $7. All with the ocean in front of you. 🍹

Both nights run 4 to 7 PM, free entrance, 18+.

These ingredients have been part of this land long before we arrived. 🌿

This Saturday, they come together in four courses that honor the four elements of nature.

🌱 Tal • Earth • Tierra
Alcapate, turned into a chimichurri that dresses tatemadas roots: yuca, camote, jícama and malanga.

💧 At • Water • Agua
Corn and loroco. Corn transformed through nixtamalización, an ancestral technique that turns a grain into memory. Loroco, an edible flower native to El Salvador, carrying the flavor of this land in every bite.

🔥 Tit • Fire • Fuego
Jocote: to locals a seasonal fruit, for this dinner the ingredient that unites flavor, technique and ancestry.

🌬️ Ejekat • Air • Aire
Corn returns, this time aerated into something light and elemental. A final course as quiet and necessary as a breath.

These are not just ingredients. They are the earth, the water, the fire and the air on your plate.

A candlelit dinner by the sea, with live acoustic music and a menu that asks you to slow down and taste where you are. 🌍
