A short drive or scenic bike ride from the Palace brings you to Piran.

At the top of the hill, St. George’s Church watches over the town and the Adriatic below. Every corner here carries a piece of Piran’s Venetian past, while Tartini Square, named after the town’s most famous son, violinist and composer Giuseppe Tartini, stands at its very heart.

Until September 5, his legacy takes center stage at the Tartini Festival, marking its 25th anniversary with evenings of Baroque music in some of Piran’s most beautiful venues.
