The word Yakiniku holds a prestigious title to it. When we speak about Japanese cuisine, the subconscious mind would agree that we are about to indulge in something of class and elegance.

Position Available:
1. Kitchen Assistant / Helper [Full-time/Part-time]
2. Floor supervisor [Full time]
3. Service Crew [Full-time/Part-time]

Location: NIKU KIN, 53 Craig Road
Working hours: Shifts

Full-timers
Pay: Minimum $1800/month

Part-timers
Pay: Minimum $9/hour

“A farm-to-table concept restaurant has just opened in the heart of Tanjong Pagar and the philosophy behind Niku Kin is to bring the finest yakiniku experience to the public. The restaurant buys an entire cow from the rib to rump from the Farm Chiyoda Biei Cho in Hokkaido and they pride themselves in serving 100% Hokkaido Wagyu beef. The cuts for yakiniku changes everyday and the Chef meticulously selects a range of affordable and premium cuts depending on the quality of the Hokkaido bred cow that’s being delivered. The review for the yakiniku will be done on a separate post while this post is dedicated to the sides that’s available in the restaurant.

Before you dive into the BBQ experience, get up close and personal with some of the starters such as the Wagyu Aburi Sushi Set ($17 for 5 pieces) whereby wagyu slices are gently torched over Japanese rice. Besides the sushi, there’s the cold appetisers of Wagyu Tartare ($12), Wagyu Miso Tofu ($5.80) and Japanese Kimchi ($4.50). Not to be confused with Korean kimchi, the Japanese version is spicy and sweet. Perhaps the side that will get everyone excited is the Wagyu Hamburg Katsu ($12.90) which is deep fried patty of minced beef.

“had a really luxurious meal at Niku Kin some time ago, all thanks to who introduced me to this place! we ordered several cuts of the hokkaido wagyu beef but the one that left an impression was chuck tender - flavourful and firm to a bite. we also shared a bowl of remen; not too sure what remen is but it was some kind of firm noodle in a cold broth that tasted like chicken rice chilli - reminds me of korean cold noodles.”
