Our hearts are so full after our recent Gratitude Buffet 🥰

What started as a simple idea has grown into something so meaningful — bringing our dear residents to the shop, sharing meals, laughter, and most importantly, connection. Watching friendships blossom over plates of yummy food reminds us why we do what we do.

It’s never just about the buffet. It’s about creating a safe, warm space where everyone feels seen, loved, and cared for. Every smile, every story shared, every little moment matters so much.

One thing never changes — our responsibility to guide the young and our future generation to do good. ❤️

It’s easy for people to say that the younger generation is “not as good as before.” But the truth is, every generation grows up in a different world and faces different challenges. What they need most is not judgment, but guidance, understanding, and support.

As parents and families, our role is to continue walking alongside them — to listen, to encourage, and most importantly, to lead by example. The values we show in our daily actions will always speak louder than our words.

When we nurture them with patience and kindness, we are not just raising children — we are shaping the future.

Let’s continue to believe in them, support them, and guide them to do good!

Hope everyone have a buzy yet fruitful February and Chinese New Year, meeting or visiting your relatives and loved ones! Mummy Yummy would like to show our gratitude for Minister Desmond Sir who visited our V4Vegetarian stall @ Ayer Rajah Food Centre and we thank him for his well wishes to our mothers and Mummy Yummy🥰

Our mothers cook during the day and continue to do home visit in the evening especially when we have new beneficiaries who are referred to us. Like Madam Quek our 3rd Mother, we told her to rest after her work at the hawker but she insisted to join us and even bring our Mummy Yummy t-shirt to change after work. She jokingly shared with us that we do not know how she smell after a day of work and sometimes she is even "paiseh" (embarrassed) that the whole MRT smell of V4Vegetrian🤣.

Although we do not share every case on our Facebook now, we still receive new referrals every month and always arrange to visit them at their home as soon as possible to find out their situation first and other needs if any before delivering food to them. We are fortunate that many hospitals and social service agencies now are familiar with Mummy Yummy and refer cases to us especially when they know the beneficiaries are vegetarian and we do our best to support them even with our limited resource.

Other than physical disabilities and illnesses like stroke, many have illnesses like kidney failure or last stage cancer which sometimes you cannot even tell from the outside. Of all our beneficiaries, there is this group of single elderly who has siblings and we are happy to see many of their sibling's family visit them during Chinese New Year. It might be once a year but we can really feel how happy these ahgong and ahma are when they see their loved ones.

Do you have such a relative who is single or uncle, auntie who used to buy you your favorite toy like a remote control car that costs $50 or bring you out to eat your favorite fast food or go arcade many years ago when their salary might only be $500 a month? Thumps up and kudos to all who still visit and show love, even together with your kids and share how you appreciate this relative of yours to your kids that they must continue to show respect and gratitude.🙏

To all of our and sponsors, thank you for your kindness over the years not to Mummy Yummy only but to all our beneficiaries. Every contribution gives them hope and warmth especially during the festive period.

Many put on their best clothing, get up from bed despite swollen legs or insist to sit up just to show their humble gratitude. Your support has brought warm vegetarian meals to them (many ask us if it is really free and Mummy Yummy always told them yes with the support of many kind people like you) and even blessed them with goodies when they least expected.

As our motto says "One for All 我为人人 , 人人为我 All for One“ and your act of giving first is the one that is the most precious in this world. Some may think that our service ends when we stop giving food. The truth is that we continue to visit and care for them as we know every small gift, ang bao or orange is what makes them smile and spending some time to listen to them is enough to make them happy🥰

Other than selling vegan food to the public, we focus on distributing free cooked vegan food to the needy in whole Singapore on weekends right to their doorsteps with the help of our volunteers and family members.
