Hand in Hand Beijing Restaurant is just a 3-minute walk from Jalan Besar MRT! Love the food here and highly recommend giving it a try.

1. Handmade Signature Tofu – S$17.80
Smooth and tasty tofu paired perfectly with the flavorful sauce—great with a bowl of rice!

2. Stew Chicken with 3 Cup Sauce – S$20.80
Fragrant and flavorful, though I personally prefer boneless chicken.

3. Steamed Prawn with Garlic Vermicelli – S$34.80 (10pcs)
Super fresh prawns with a strong garlicky kick. A must-order!

4,Xiao Long Bao – S$6.80 (5pcs)
Thin-skinned, juicy, and packed with flavor. So good!

5. Chives, Pork & Prawn Fried Dumplings – S$10.80 (8pcs)
Crispy skin, fresh prawns, and tasty filling. 😋an all-time favorite.

If you’re looking for a solid Chinese restaurant serving quality dishes like xiao long bao and dumplings, look no further - Hand in Hand restaurant serves all these and more!

🥟 Xiao long bao (8 pcs) ($9.80): Amazing XLBs with lots of soup within and tasty meat filling. The XLB skin was also not too thin and didn’t break easily! Must-get if you are here 😋

🥟 Fried dumplings with pork and cabbage (8 pcs) ($10.80): This is a must-get too as the dumplings are fried to perfection and we couldn’t get enough of the juicy filling!

🍗 Stewed chicken with three cups sauce (砂锅三杯鸡) ($20.80): The portion was quite substantial even for the small size and taste wise, it was very flavorful and slightly spicy. This is suitable even for those who can’t take spicy food. This would pair very well with plain rice!

🥓 Shredded pork with soy sauce popiah ($20.80): Similar to peking duck but the meat is replaced with shredded pork instead. Still a good alternative and the meat was savory & flavorful.

🍞 Homemade bean curd ($17.80): Loved the silky texture of the tofu!

🧆 Organic cauliflower ($17.80): Portion was huge & very flavorful too. Bonus for being organic!

🍝 Noodles with soy bean paste (炸酱面) ($8.80): Not too salty & the soy bean paste coated each strand of noodle well. Noodles’ texture was bouncy too.

🥛 Warm barley ($2.50): A nice thirst quencher to end off the meal!

Overall a great restaurant to try out if you’re in the Jalan Besar area! They also have another branch at Boat Quay specializing in peking duck!

If you want to savour their items at the comfort of your home, you can also purchase their packaged products (handmade dumplings & XLB)!

My favourite dish turned out to be this juicy xlb 🫶 If you’re feeling adventurous, they also have a squid ink version 🦑🖤

🌟 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 ($𝟭𝟬.𝟴𝟬)
With a crispy golden exterior, crack open the crust of this pan-fried dumplings for a satisfying ASMR 🥹 We ordered the leek, pork and shrimp fillings version that is juicy though we found the leek flavour slightly overpowering 🥟

🌟 𝗕𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗯𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶 ($𝟯𝟳.𝟴𝟬)
I have to admit, my picture doesn’t do justice to the portion of this dish. We were all STUNNED when we saw this massive sauerkraut fish 😳 Would recommend getting this if you’re visiting with a bigger group!

For a group of 6, we spent around $160 and all left with very full bellies 🤰Would recommend visiting in larger groups to try more dishes! Overall, a satisfying meal and I’d be back ✨
