We are looking for trusty, well-presented front of house staff to supplement our existing team.
-Receiving and confirming walk-in, telephonic, and online reservations.
-Directing early arrivals to the bar as they wait for their tables to become available.
Ushering diners to their tables and providing them with menus.
-Accepting and informing the relevant staff about food and beverage requests.
-Mixing and pouring beverages, as needed.
Transporting food orders from the kitchen to each pertinent table.
-Clearing glassware, silverware, and crockery from each table once guests have completed their meals, or upon request.
-Providing guests with their checks after the meal sitting.
-Clearing and reporting breakages by diners.

Responsibilities include:
Waiter/Waitress responsibilities include greeting and serving customers, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties and collecting the bill. If you are able to perform well in fast-paced environments, we’d like to meet you. To be a successful Waiter or Waitress, you should be polite with our customers and make sure they enjoy their meals. You should also be a team player and be able to effectively communicate with our Kitchen Staff to make sure orders are accurate and delivered promptly.

Keep in mind that Waiter/Waitress duties may require working in shifts and/or occasionally during weekends and holidays.

Ultimately, it is the duty of our Waiters/Waitresses to provide an excellent overall dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities
Greet and es**rt customers to their tables
Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses
Inform customers about the day’s specials
Offer menu recommendations upon request
Up-sell additional products when appropriate
Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software,order slips or by memorization
Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
Serve food and drink orders
Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
Deliver checks and collect bill payments
Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)
Follow all relevant health department regulations
Provide excellent customer service to guests
Requirements
Proven work experience as a Waiter or Waitress
Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information system (e.g. Revel POS or Toast POS)
Basic math skills
Attentiveness and patience for customers
Excellent presentation skills
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
Active listening and effective communication skills
Team spirit
Flexibility to work in shifts
High school diploma; food safety training is a plus

Maintain complete knowledge of:
*All menu items available in the bar.
*All liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections available in the bar.
*Every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
*Designated glassware and garnishes for drinks.
*All menu items, preparation method/time, ingredients, sauces, portion sizes, garnishes, presentation and prices.
*Daily menu specials and out of stock items.
*Bar layout, table set-ups, hours of operation.
*Correct maintenance and use of equipment.
*Check own grooming and attire standard.
*Perform work and side duties in accordance with departmental procedures.
*Maintain storage areas with proper supplies, organization, and cleanliness. *Rectify any cleanliness/organization deficiencies as requested by superiors.
*Replenish bar levels for supplies and equipment.
*Complete requisitions to replenish shortages or additional items needed for the anticipated business.
*Upsell to guests whenever possible.
*Prepare workstations & pantries, ensuring compliance to departmental standards.
*Ensure that all materials, equipment are in complete readiness for service in accordance to business needs;
*Daily check and cleaning of work areas ensuring compliance with standards of cleanliness and order.
*Report any defects to Manager on Duty.
*Anticipate, acknowledge and respond promptly to guests requests at all times.
Be familiar with all operation services/features and local attractions/activities to respond accurately to any guest inquiry.
* Report guest opportunities to Superiors following the instant pacification procedures and ensuring guest satisfaction.
* Be aware of guest reactions and communicate with superior and other service staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
* Maintain cleanliness and working conditions of departmental equipment, supplies, and work areas.

Tempura Oji’s Beewax Old Fashioned uses tools that are mostly reserved for cooking—i.e., sous vide, or vacuum-sealing liquid in a bag and heating it in a water bath—to enhance the mouthfeel of a classic Old Fashioned. Melting down the beeswax and letting it mingle with the fat molecules of the bourbon allows some of the aromatics of the beeswax to bond with the whiskey, but it also fundamentally alters the body of the spirit into something that has a distinct weight without adding extra sugar. Enjoy. More than just Tempura.
