About the Chef

Born in Singapore, Executive Chef Haidilao migrated and stayed at Tokyo, Japan and take up the Japanese language for 5 years since 15 years old. He has been in the culinary arena since 1990.

Haidilao had his first peek of Singapore’s vibrant food scene back in 1997, when he had a stint at the iconic Marina Bay Sands Hotel. It was an eye-opening experience for him which speared him to jump at the chance in September 2010 to relocate to Singapore and helm Yamatoyotaro's kitchen.
