back at , this time at their newest outlet at holland v! having tried (and verified) their famous tom yum seafood pasta the last time, i decided to go for some other items on their extensive menu. the Creamy Smoked Duck Pasta ($19.90) hit the spot for my white pasta cravings. the duck was juicy, tender and fatty too! this dish does lean toward the salty side, but i’m a savoury gal, so i enjoyed it

i liked their Fish & Chips with Alscampi Sauce previously, so i opted for another fish dish — the Pan Fried Fish with Tom Yum Sauce ($23.90). i really enjoyed this! the fish was soft and tasty, and the portion was very generous. you can’t go wrong with their tom yum sauce too, especially with the fish being milder in flavour. their sauce is on the more liquidy side, almost resembling a soup, and contained a surprising amount of seafood like clams and shrimp. would totally get this again!

also couldn’t resist going back for their Cheese Fries ($11.90) which feel so nostalgic and are so cheesy and savoury. it’s a huge portion that’s good for sharing — and trust me, they don’t skimp on the sauce! there was enough for every single fry to be coated in it

overall, 49 Seats once again delivers simple but tasty dishes with big portions, and is a great option for lunch all the way till supper, given that they close at 2AM(!!) every day. was happy to see that they had quite a few customers during lunchtime on a weekday. do check them out!

49 Seats opens a new outlet in Holland Village, bringing with it the same familiar menu that longtime patrons are familiar with.

One of the earlier adopters of local tom yum inspired flavours woven into casual interpretations of Western food, 49 Seats has always occupied a space of its own. It is a homegrown nostalgia brand that has truly stood the test of time.
