Hey guys, it’s Dan.❤️
Just a little note from me.

First of all, thank you. ❤️

The last month has honestly been quite incredible. We’ve had one full house after another, and we’re so grateful to everyone who came down, brought their friends and family, and supported Dan Steaks.❤️❤️🥩🥩

But as the hype has settled, and things have come back into normal life, the restaurant has become a very different place during the week.🙏🏻🙏🏻 the second pic is what it’s like every weekday lunch. 😅😅😵‍💫😵‍💫

Lunches from Monday to Friday are quiet, and Monday to Thursday evenings are pretty quiet too.🥩❤️

And that’s okay — every restaurant has its busy days and its quieter days. But the reality is, it’s very difficult to run a restaurant when the business is concentrated into just a few days a week. 🥩🥩

So, if you’ve been meaning to come by, perhaps Monday to Thursday is the time to do it.💪🏻💪🏻

No queues.👍🏻
No rush.🔥
Just a relaxed table, some rustic food, a cold drink, and hopefully a good time.😍😍

We’ve always tried to keep Dan Steaks simple — good food, generous portions, and prices that don’t hurt too much.👍🏻👍🏻. NO GST! Wheee!!

We’re also coming towards the final chapter of Dan Steaks, with the restaurant likely to be around for only a short time more.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

A LITTLE THANK YOU ❤️

The question we get asked the most these days is:

“When are you closing?”🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

The honest answer is… we don’t have an exact date yet.🙏🏻🙏🏻

What we do know is that Dan Steaks will be closing for sure in the next months. It could be in two months, or it could be sooner — depending on when the incoming tenant is ready to take over the space.🙏🏻🙏🏻

So while we still have the opportunity, we’d really love for you to swing by for one last hoorah. 🥩❤️

This is so special. ❤️ If you’ve ever dined at Dan’s Steaks, you may have noticed the large metal frame outside our restrooms, filled with hundreds of wine corks.

To many, they’re just corks.🍷🍷

But to us, every single one tells a story.❤️

Each cork came from a bottle shared over a great steak. A birthday celebrated. An anniversary toasted. Friends catching up. Families reconnecting. Business deals sealed. First dates. Last meals. Quiet nights. Loud laughter. Even moments where people came to celebrate life’s victories… or find comfort during its hardest days.❤️❤️🔥🔥🫶🏻🫶🏻

Those corks aren’t just reminders of the wine we’ve served.😍

Hey it’s dan.❤️
Six years ago, during COVID, Dan Steaks wasn’t part of a grand business plan.

It started in my home kitchen.

I simply loved cooking, and I loved feeding people. What began as meals prepared from home soon grew into something I never imagined. ❤️Together, we opened four restaurants and had the privilege of serving thousands of guests over the years.🥩🥩🥩🥩🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

To every customer who dined with us, celebrated birthdays and anniversaries, brought your families, introduced your friends, and kept coming back…🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thank you.❤️

You weren’t just customers. You became part of the Dan Steaks story.

Over the years, we’ve weathered many storms. Three of our restaurants have already closed, and today, our Serangoon Gardens outlet at Maju Avenue is the last one standing.❤️❤️❤️

Sadly, it looks like this will be our final chapter.😞😞😞

This isn’t because we’ve stopped loving what we do. If anything, we love it as much as ever.🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

But the reality of running a restaurant has changed. Food costs continue to rise. Staff costs continue to rise. Rent continues to rise. With increasing competition all around us, it has become impossible to keep going sustainably.😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

Sometimes, loving something isn’t enough.🥲

There is sadness, of course. But even more than that, there is gratitude.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
