Here are some smart tips to help you pick the perfect one:
✅ Short & thick stem = more flesh
✅ Sweet smell with a hint of bitterness = just right
✅ Lighter durians = smaller seeds, more meat
✅ Rattle when shaken = ripe and ready
✅ Big, short, widely spaced spikes = better quality
✅ 5 segments at the crown = more flesh
❌ Avoid during rainy season – many aren’t fully ripe!
