The chef’s recipes are his secret in achieving all these recognitions. With the launch of first Chabuton outlet in Singapore, ramen lovers may now savour bowls of high quality and gratifying ramen using the same recipes created by this award-winning chef for its outlets in Japan and Thailand.

Chabuton reopens her door quietly at 313 Somerset!

Menu highlights include the new Buta Kakuni ramen in uki-kouji miso flavored pork bone soup topped with thick slices of braised pork belly, Japanese leek and bamboo shoots. This is comfort food at its best!

One of my favorite ramen – Tonkotsu Kara Kara Ramen; Chabuton style ramen in rich and creamy pork bone soup topped with spicy minced pork, chashu, bamboo shoot and Japanese leek.

We added the juicy chicken tatsuta and mini chashu don to our meal. The chicken was marinated with a soy sauce-based marinade, coated with potato starch and deep-fried in oil.

Lunch set meal goes at $15.90 (11:30am-5pm) which consists of main dish, side, dessert and beverage.. tbh you can’t beat this price point anywhere in town. Swing by soon! 🥢🥢

Fun fact: The recipe of this ramen is specially created by Michelin Chef, Mr. Yasuji Morizumi, also known as “King of Ramen” from TV Champion, TV Tokyo Station 😲

1️⃣ 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝗸𝗼𝘁𝘀𝘂 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗵𝘂 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻 [$17.9]
Three slices of thinly sliced chashu as big as the size of my 🖐🏻 layered onto this bowl of hearty Tonkotsu broth. The broth which was probably cooked long enough gave this 𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗛 & 𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗠𝗬 profile which I enjoyed 👍🏻only gripe was that the was missing a bit of texture which I much preferred to be springy

2️⃣ 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝗸𝘂𝗻𝗶 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻 [$16.9] ⭐️
Selected the Yoruton broth here but we both agreed that the previous soup base fared better. However, I instantly fell in ❤️ with their buta Kakuni where the distribution of lean and fatty parts of the pork belly perfectly 𝗘𝗫𝗘𝗖𝗨𝗧𝗘𝗗 💯 It was 𝗦𝗢𝗙𝗧, 𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥, 𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗧 𝗜𝗡 𝗠𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗦𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗦𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 🤔 Also, we asked for their Chilli Paste to go w the soup and it was really SHIOK 🌶

3️⃣ 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝘁𝘀𝘂𝘁𝗮 [$5.9] ⭐️⭐️
This here was the HIGHLIGHT of the meal, 𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗣𝗬 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻 + 𝗦𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗝𝗨𝗜𝗖𝗬 meat 🙌🏻

4️⃣ 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗼 [$5.9]
Bouncy chewy 🐙 + spring onions tossed in a wasabi concoction, great as a cold dish

Overall verdict: Ramen joint with an above average TONKOTSU broth & fried chix was 👌🏻

Unfortunately things change and I never heard of them ever since! However thanks to the shoutout from , I’m glad to share that are back and right in the smack of our most popular shopping district in orchard road ! to exact, and with a interesting layout that is somewhat shared by their sister company that serves Thai food!

Not to worry folks, is the one ramen when I can finish the broth till it’s empty! So the proportions of the ingredients especially when creating a stock has to take being “jelak” into consideration!

Fortunately this is where the chefs or ramen guru part has to be very precise!

After initial sips and bites. We were delighted with the broth! The milk that could be the secret weapon which makes the broth not jelak and a pleasure to drink too!

As the menu is pretty extensive, we went straight to what the waitress recommended plus also gotten some other items to give a rather overview of what they got to offer!

In terms of standards, it was still good as before! With a new location and a new menu, I’m sure your would get everyone to participate in the menu selection part and also to find their fav sides to pair! My take is that as long as the food is nice, im satisfied and so I’m just grateful that they take their ramen very seriously but yet offers sides which are delicious at their own right and certainly compliments your delicious ramen!

How about a Michelin starred Ramen this weekends?

I’ve been craving for ramen lately and came to satisfy my tastebuds at the newly opened 😃

What we tried:
Goma Kani Tofu ($7.90)
Iced Lemon Tea ($3.50)
Kaki Fry ($5.90)
Tonkotsu Ramen ($13.90)
Tonkotsu Shio Ramen ($13.90)
Coke ($2.50)

10/10 recommend the Kani Fry (fried oysters) which were so crispy and delicious! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 you can’t customise you ramen in terms of noodle firmness or thickness of the soup but overall it worked pretty well anyway. Unfortunately they ran out of ramen eggs during our visit but hoping to try it out next time!
