When we first started, we had many different opinions on how the chicken chop in our cafe should taste. As a huge chicken lover, I was very particular about it. To me, chicken should not just fill the stomach. It should bring comfort, warmth and satisfaction with every bite.
For months, our first chef and I had endless arguments and discussions over the marination and flavours. Of course, when it comes to cooking professionally, I’m definitely not the expert. But when it comes to eating chicken, I take it very seriously.
One fine day, I decided to completely revamp the recipe by bringing in my late father’s homemade chicken recipe. It was a recipe filled with memories, warmth and the taste of home.
That was how Chicken Chop Rehomed was born.
We named it Chicken Chop Rehomed because we wanted every piece of chicken to find a good home in our customers’ stomachs and hearts.
Slowly, we started seeing less leftovers and more empty plates. Customers began savouring every last bite of the chicken on their plates. Encouraged by the love and support, we eventually used the same recipe for our Oriental Truffle Chicken Burger and our Stray Chicken Rice too.
Today, we are so thankful that Chicken Chop Rehomed and Stray Chicken Rice have become two of our best sellers.
Besides our Pet Menu and Meal of Love, we will now also be donating 100g of protein to stray feeders and Animal Welfare Groups for every Chicken Chop Rehomed and Stray Chicken Rice ordered, so that more stray and rescued animals can enjoy a warm meal too.
So the more you eat, the more they get to eat.
