Our History - How it all started
Established in 1999 by our Managing Director Mr Alan Lee, we opened our first Banquet food court at Jurong Point Shopping Centre, the first food court to serve only Halal food, which endorsed by MUIS ("Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura"), the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore. It was conceptualised out of the opportunity to create a greater variety of choice in the Halal-certified space, previously limited to Muslim-operated stalls offering traditional Malay and Indian food. By Offering a wide array of high-quality, Halal-certified, innovative local and international cuisines in pleasant and comfortable dining environment, Banquet proved to be an immediate success, with the Muslim community. We have grown by leaps and bounds since the opening of our first Banquet food court. Today, we have become a trusted household brand among the Muslim community, with a fast-growing customer base among the general population. Our brands includes Banquet, Banquet Signature, Bagus, Ah Mei Café, Prata Prata, Café The Frontier, Beer Garden, Sergeant Kiang's Kitchen, Mega Food Mall and Treats. We have a total of more than 30 food outlets in Singapore consisting of food courts, cafes and restaurants located in the heartlands, the central business districts and shopping centres, catering to almost every imaginable palate, but always with the assurance that our Halal-certified food will appeal to and is appropriate for everyone.
