Honored as a Singapore Heritage Business in 2025, for 40years Shashlik Restaurant has been lovingly serving generations of diners with its Russian and Continental inspired cuisine, featuring time-honoured recipes by Hainanese chefs. Our Russo-Hainanese heritage was born from the legendary Troika Restaurant in 1963, where Hainanese chefs first interpreted the timeless recipes of Russian Chef, Mamoc

hka Liber. When Troika’s golden era ended in January 1986, nine former employees pooled their life savings together and opened Shashlik Restaurant in April 1986, an ode to their Russo-Hainanese culinary heritage. Our old-school restaurant is also known for its geriatric Hainanese waiters and chefs. With a rich 30 years heritage, the restaurant has been serving generations of loyal diners from all over the world. Many of the patrons are returning customers who grew up with the restaurant when they first visited with their parents and grandparents. Many have also celebrated life events at the restaurant. A hidden gem of Orchard Road, the Shashlik Restaurant at the Far East Shopping Centre has been featured numerous times in various media for their version of the venerable Russian dishes such as the Shashlik, Borshch soup, Chicken ala Kiev and Beef Stroganoff. Shashlik is one of the few restaurants in Singapore that offers table-side service. Desserts such as the Baked Alaska, Cherries Jubilee and Crepe Suzette are flambéed at the table, wheeled out on trolleys by waiters who also whip up specialty drinks such as the Russian Coffee.

Lights, camera, and a whole lot of carbs! 🎬✨

Is it even work if you’re sharing a scene with the legendary Yvonne Lim Yvonne Lim 林湘萍and Pierre PngPierre Png 方展发?

We’re beyond stoked to announce that our star dishes are making their TV debut in the upcoming Mediacorp drama 《刺猬的盔甲》 (Guarded by Spikes)!

Honestly, we’re a bit worried our Soft Butter Buns 🥯might steal the spotlight—they’ve always been a bit of a diva.

Not to be outdone, our Blue Fire Ribs, Escargots, and Impossible Meatball Pasta were all dressed to impress and ready for their close-ups. 🍝🔥

Huge thanks to Chef Derrick for keeping things cool under the studio lights and making sure every plate looked like a winner. We can't wait for you guys to see us on the small screen!

Stay tuned, and maybe grab a snack before you watch... you're gonna need it. 😉
