We are officially in the full swing of Ethiopian season! Our lots from Tamiru Tadesse will slowly be released throughout the next few weeks on retail. The harvest this year is tasting excellent.

First in line are a sweet, floral and classic washed coffee, as well as a natural processed fruit bomb, both from Bombe washing station.

We couldn’t be more excited to welcome our friends from KL, One Half Roastery, to our bar on 3 September for a one-day only pop up.

Andrea and Wei Liang will be taking over our espresso and filter bars with an amazing selection of coffees that highlight One Half’s sourcing and roasting philosophy.

We will be dedicating this entire day to a celebration of some world class coffees, so no food will be served.

We are proud to host an edition of Global Charity Cupping, where we openly invite all of you to our bar to do a cupping of coffees and raise funds through donations.

The funds will go towards covering the expenses for a free 3-day training camp held this month in East Java, Indonesia for young coffee producers to gain practical coffee knowledge so they can be empowered.

Elysia, our current Brewers Cup champion, will be co-hosting this with us.

Every donation goes a long way to making a difference to the lives of producers.

One varietal - 74158 - processed in 3 different ways that to us, represent the pinnacle of Ethiopian coffee production.

These 3 coffees will be on our bar and retail shelves tomorrow onwards till sold out.

Each retail box comes with 60 g of each coffee and a precious handwritten letter from Tamiru Tadesse, the owner of Alo washing station, to us.

In making coffee, we love using equipment that’s beautiful on the eyes, durable, flexible in brew expression, and fun to brew on. The solo fits the bill perfectly. With it, we can easily achieve a smooth and round mouthfeel, with a great balance between flavour intensity and clarity.

We’ve waited a long time to finally feature this very special coffee on our milk programme from the Dharmawan family.

This is Ijen Lestari’s COE-winning process, a Carbonic Maceration Natural, tasting incredibly sweet and tropical.

Dandy passed away last year before we could visit him but his great work is continued by his family. This is a coffee that means a lot to us. It’s Dandy’s legacy and we are very happy to share this with you.

This weekend, we are showcasing 3 beautiful coffees from Costa Rican rockstar producers, COE winner Johel Monge Naranjo (San Isidro Labrador) and Ivan Gutierrez (La Esmeralda) at the bar.

These are geisha varieties processed in 3 different ways, each equally delicious and aromatic.

We will also be retailing these as a limited Taster’s Set for you to enjoy at home. These are exceptional coffees brought to us by . They were a joy to roast, and we will have the immense pleasure of sharing them with you over the next few days.

We always look forward to Ecuador season. This year, the quality on the cupping table from our friends was incredible. We’ve chosen a few top lots to share with you. The first is a yeast washed Typica Mejorado from one of our favourite producers - with a distinctively yoghurty mouthfeel from the fermentation plus dynamic and layered fruit tones throughout. This is a real treat!
