Meet Azidah. Azidah’s greatest test came when her eldest son was diagnosed with cancer, requiring her to become his unwavering support system while caring for her four other children. Her journey did not end there, she continued to stand strong as he was later diagnosed with autism and mental illnesses, all while tending to her ailing parents who suffered from stroke and kidney failure, even putting her teaching career on hold.
Her dedication bore fruit as one daughter received the prestigious Mdm Halimah Yacob Award, earned an NCS Scholarship, and is now studying at NTU, while another son proudly serves as a combat medic during his National Service. Her resilience and strength were further recognised when she was awarded The Most Inspiring Women's Award in BBE Constituency.
Now returned to teaching, Azidah continues to give back to society, using her life experiences to guide and inspire her students while contributing to her community.
A true luminary who believes in lighting the way through life's darkest tunnels, she transforms personal struggles into strength that illuminates the path for others facing similar challenges.
