We thought long and hard, tried and failed, and tried again for many hours in the kitchen every single component that goes into our cakes, before we serve up our food that you are about to enjoy. We prepare each cake with a lot of care to ensure the quality that you are promised. If we do not feel that it is good enough, if we do not enjoy it, we will not have it on the menu. So we hope you would

We are saying goodbye to Chocolate Banana cake at the end of this month. But fear not, there are still more banana-flavoured treats from Olsen Bakehouse that you can enjoy!

🍌Moist, soft and bursting with all-natural banana flavours, we’re happy to announce that Banana Hazelnut is here to stay. We paired this cake with our homemade hazelnut spread made less sweet and topped with roasted hazelnut crumbs. Perfect match.

🍌You can’t go wrong with Banana Bread - certainly not with ours. Made without eggs or dairy, our banana bread is filled with more of its natural, all-banana goodness. Good to eat every day, and good to gift as well. Guaranteed to make your day, and someone else’s too!

🍌Last but not least, Chocolate Banana, originally a Father’s Day Special. Soft and moist chocolate cake with salted chocolate cream for distinct taste and roasted caramelised banana. Available until the end of August, last pre-orders on 28th August.

You can count on mochi being chewy and soft, but strawberry mochi bun brings a burst of tart sweetness that not only gets us through the day, but brightens it too. To us, this little snack perfectly represents freshness and passion, all wrapped up in a tiny little bun.

As Orh Nee is one of our all-time favourite flavours AND an important part of our Teochew heritage, it’s no surprise we try to work it into whatever we make. That includes our little mochi buns.

Instructions for maximum enjoyment:

Slow down as you tear through the mochi pull. As you work your way through the bun, relax mindfully. A few minutes of calm breathing and food fuel is sometimes all we need to push through the rest of the day. 🤎

We make good bread and small signage 😅 The drinks menu started as one A1 sheet taped to the wall, We went back to fabric like we have always done because it is warmer and it feels more homely.

The only issue was the size, or rather the lack of it.

A few versions later it is up above the counter and you can read it from the door, which feels like progress. The drinks themselves have had a refresh too, with a couple of new ones arriving over the coming weeks ☕

There is something about ondeh ondeh that makes everyone go quiet for a second, that first bite when the gula melaka comes through and you remember exactly where you were the first time you had one. We wanted that same moment in a cake, so we bake fresh pandan chiffon and pair it with pure gula melaka, then finish it with toasted coconut 🥥

Nothing clever, nothing dressed up, just a flavour that has always belonged to this island 🇸🇬

A staple in Chinese desserts., ours is built the same way, smooth yam through the sponge and the cream, coconut on top, and rose petals because that is how it was always served to us 💜

It is a quiet sort of cake, and honestly those are our favourite kind to bake, especially this season 🇸🇬
