One of the first of its kind in Singapore, our tea-pairing programme has been a defining part of the Esora experience.

Sourced from renowned tea plantations across Asia, each tea is handpicked for its terroir and character, thoughtfully paired with every dish to create a richer sensorial journey.

This Autumn, one pairing features a sparkling Tie Guan Yin with our chestnut and pear Foie Gras Monaka. The bubbles cut through the foie gras’s buttery richness while lifting the pear and chestnut, revealing a delicate harmony that unfolds sip by sip.

Come explore this unique blend of tea and cuisine in your final experience of Esora. New reservation slots for December are now available: https://www.restaurant-esora.com/reservations/

One of Esora’s original creations, the Foie Gras Monaka transforms a traditional Japanese confection into a delectable work of art.

Paired thoughtfully with seasonal ingredients, each iteration balances sweet, tangy, and savoury flavours that reflect the changing seasons.

This rendition celebrates the warmth of autumn, centering on earthy chestnut, accompanied by tender slices of French pear, fresh kinome leaves, and fragrant myoga—a refined harmony that captures the season’s elegance.

Our space was designed as a reflection of Esora’s spirit, where the textured beauty of natural Japanese materials such as timber, copper, and marble, come together to form a warm, intimate setting.

As an homage to our name, meaning “painting in the sky,” a skylight veiled in washi paper filters light through a honeycomb lattice, casting shifting patterns reminiscent of sunlight passing through a forest canopy.

Together, these elements shape a space where every detail speaks to harmony and balance—a sensory journey from beginning to end.

Discover the sanctuary where nature and craft meet, as we enter our final season.

In Japanese culture, the number eight (八) holds profound meaning — a symbol of growth, prosperity and eternity. Its kanji character opens outward, reaching toward the future. Turned on its side, it becomes the symbol for infinity — representing endless possibilities.

We look back at eight defining highlights that have shaped Esora’s journey over eight years — beginning with the story behind the mark you have come to know.

Inspired by the spirit of Hokusai’s woodblock prints, our logo was born from the meeting of colour and texture — paint pressed together to create natural landscapes both abstract and familiar, like mountains glimpsed through passing clouds.

It stands as a reflection of our deep affinity for nature and our dedication to bringing its gifts into every detail of our craft.

We invite you to share in this final chapter of Esora’s story. Reservations are now open via our link in bio.

Charcoal-grilled A4 Ōmi Wagyu — one of our signature dishes this autumn.

A re-interpretation of sukiyaki, the rich, marbled beef is paired with a red sake and red vinegar sauce, balancing depth with bright acidity. It rests atop of a bed of rare mountain greens (mizunomi), a depiction of the slow settling of the earth.

On the side, a smooth Jerusalem artichoke purée lends gentle sweetness, while fresh peanuts and the prized matsutake mushroom deliver a savoury, nutty finish.

A plate that speaks to the heart of autumn — available for a limited time. Join us for the final season of Esora.

Dressed in autumn’s rich reds, mellow oranges, and flecks of yellow, our floral installation brings the season indoors — a beautiful tapestry of bloom fading into ember.

As nature turns inward, so does our cuisine — rooted in warmth, earthiness, and reflection. Every detail, from the ingredients we choose to the florals that grace our space, honours this precious, fleeting season.

Come experience the beauty of autumn in this final chapter at Esora.

With the turn of every season, we are reminded of its transience. As is the nature of all things to change, our time at Esora too comes to a close after eight meaningful years. Our last day of service will be on 29 December 2025.

As one of the first kappo-style fine dining restaurants in the city, our hope was to introduce a fresh perspective on Japanese culinary culture — one that blended time-honoured traditions with modern techniques, while staying true to the celebration of ingredients at their peak. From our signature Foie Gras Monaka to Singapore’s first tea-pairing programme, every detail was crafted for a sensorial experience that resonated well beyond the table.

Above all, Esora’s spirit lies in its team, who poured their skill and craft into every service. It has been an honour to work alongside such talent — many who grew with us and others who went on to lead kitchens of their own. We are equally grateful to our partners, suppliers, and friends whose trust made these eight years possible.

We warmly invite our cherished guests to share a final meal and memory in the spirit of autumn. Thank you for walking this path with us.

Autumn at Esora begins next Thursday — a season of earthiness and forested warmth. Flavours deepen and settle, echoing Japan's changing leaves and shorter days.

The menu celebrates nature's late harvest: aromatic mushrooms and creamy chestnuts, with the gentle sweetness of French black fig and pear, ripened by the fading sun. Other ingredients such as turnip and sweet potato lend an earthy warmth, while persimmon offers a bright finish.

We welcome you for 7 or 9-course dinners from Thursday to Monday, and lunch Saturday to Monday. Reservations for our Autumn menu are now open — link in bio.

Harvested at their summer peak, our red and green Manganji peppers from Kyoto bring a sweet, mild flavour that form a vibrant bed for the Kue — a deep-sea grouper prized for its firm texture and buttery richness.

Inspired by Chef Araki’s early culinary years in Kyoto, the Kue is grilled and dressed in a white sesame Thai fish sauce for a deeper flavour, while the Manganji peppers add a refreshing contrast to its nutty richness.

As summer ripens, we celebrate its natural sweetness with a refreshing mango dessert, inspired by our friend .shimomura at .bkk.

Fresh cubes of Miyazaki mango rest within a textured twill, paired with creamy coconut ice cream and a silky white bean mousse – and a final touch of Okinawa black pepper to lend a delicate spice.
