Hello. This is BBQ FRIEND. Thank you to everyone who have always supported us and ordered our food in any way despite the difficult times that we are all experiencing. We are sorry to inform you, but due to personal circumstances, we will not be able to operate during the lunch hours on weekdays next week(5th Oct to 8th Oct). However, we will still stay open for dinner and all weekends as per normal. We seek for your kind understanding.

Kimchi Jjigae is a spicy stew made of kimchi. The simple recipe was considered as a representative dish for commoners in the old days. While this dish is not found in ancient records, the stew is speculated to originate in regular households during the 1970s when nappa cabbage prices were cheap!

Yukgaejang is a spicy beef soup that commoners ate in the past. But, it was served to King Soonjong, the last king of the Lee dynasty for Chosun. The royal chef served him this dish after being forced to give up sovereignty to the Japanese. The King cried.

The four main ingredients: beef, chili, fiddlehead, taro stems - reminded him of the strength of the Koreans for their eventual independence and devotion for the King.
