✨ May Geisha Delight Bundle is here!
This May, we present a South American pairing, two distinct expressions shaped by origin, process, and cultivar, brought together in a composed and intentional pairing.
From Brazil, a rare Geisha Natural by Luiz Paulo Dias Pereira of Fazenda Santuario Sul. While Brazil is traditionally celebrated for its chocolate-driven, nut-forward profiles, this lot gently departs from expectation. Through careful natural processing and precise post-harvest management, the cup reveals a softer, more lifted expression layered with honeyed sweetness, ripe tangerine and nectarine, finishing with a delicate, tea-like structure. A quiet and elegant interpretation of Geisha from a less conventional origin.
Complementing this is a Caturra Washed from Finca Milan, produced by Julio Cesar Madrid in Risaralda, Colombia. Known for pushing boundaries with experimental processing, Finca Milan’s washed lots are a rarer glimpse into clarity and restraint. Here, the profile is articulate and refined starfruit acidity at the forefront, supported by translucent notes of lychee, grape, and a gentle citrus lift. Think of it as a more composed, lighter-toned expression reminiscent of their vibrant Maypop lineage.
Together, this pairing explores contrast and balance, Brazil’s rounded sweetness alongside Colombia’s crystalline acidity. A study in terroir, process, and varietal expression.
