Thai Handmade Fish Cake 🐟 -
The main ingredient of our fish cakes comes from chunky fish meats which is beaten to a paste and mixed in with long beans and various thai seasoning and ingredients. Each piece of fish cake are handmade with love by our Thai Chef, who inherited his recipe from his mother, and then deep fried to achieve its springy texture with a crunch. Our savoury fish cakes are then served with Thai sweet chilli for you to obtain a rainbow of flavours from sweet to savoury yet packed with a punch of spiciness.

It is with our deepest regret to inform all our supporters of our Thai food and Mookata that we are closing down both our Changi and Tampines stalls and the last day of operations is on 31 July 2022.

We are just small-time entrepreneurs treading the dangerous realms of the F&B industry for the first time and have found the journey to be fraught with difficulties. We have met people along the way who have guided us in this journey whom we are very appreciative of. We have also met people who have ulterior motives and are always trying to take advantage of our inexperience as first time entrepreneurs in this industry. It was a tough decision to close down the business but definitely a well thought through one.

We went in with the passion to create our own footprints in this industry. We familiarize ourselves with the various aspects of the business from hiring, procurement, marketing and operations. We lost time and money along the way but gained lots of experience from this. We knew it wasn’t going to be a smooth sailing ride and we learnt to deal with the many challenges that came along the way - hiring of staff and increasing ingredient costs. We came out bruised but not down. We don’t know when we will be back again but the next journey will probably be better than the last one.

For our ardent supporters out there, we are sorry to disappoint. Do come down for the last taste of Cocokata Thai cuisines and Mookata. The name will disappear from social media for now but we hope the name stays in your heart.
