🌱 Plant-based options at Chen’s Michelin-starred restaurant
(may contain alliums and eggs).

We enjoyed the “Meatless” Katsu Mapo Mien — the spice level was just right for us! The mushroom fries were another favourite 🍄
The Szechwan Soy Puffs were crispy but a little oily. Still, worth giving them a try for the first time! 😋

Tried Jo-Yi Vegetarian Dim Sum (no alliums) today. 🥟🌱

Started by a passionate young entrepreneur, their healthier take on dim sum is both thoughtful and delicious. Loved the creative touch of using fried cabbage instead of fried shallots to top the siew mai.
Sadly, the pandan "chicken" and chee cheong fun were sold out, so we'll definitely be back to try them next time.😋

A quirky comic-themed vegetarian spot with a tight menu but that "Little Paper Man” dish was a standout. Slightly pricey, but surprisingly satisfying.

The dishes we tried:

1) The Most Adorable Flavor Difference of the Little Paper Man 👍

Ingredients:
Charcoal fried rice, dried bacon, diced mushroom, vegetarian char siew, black truffle sauce, diced tomato, sriracha hot sauce, spinach, sesame sauce, Vietnamese roll, blue pickled radish, toast, vegetarian bacon, mayonnaise, cheese, edible rice paper, English parsley, chocolate swirl

2) Spicy Crispy Lotus Root Sandwiches 😋

Ingredients:
Lotus root, vegetarian ham, sriracha sauce, Pocky sticks, ketchup

Had a wonderful dining experience at Empress, the beautiful modern Cantonese restaurant. Absolutely love the wide selection of vegetarian and plant-based options which are so thoughtfully curated and full of flavour. Definitely coming back to explore more from the menu!

Mcdonald and Burger King in Switzerland are very veggie-friendly with a wide range of options, but they’re pretty costly. A McDonald’s set cost us over SGD 20, while a Burger King set with veggie nuggets was almost SGD 50 😅 The Burger King burger was good though 🍔😋
