I’ll be honest — we don’t chase cheap jobs

Not because we only care about profits, but because cheap jobs usually come with expensive problems later

After 40+ years in metal fabrication, we’ve seen what happens when corners are cut — especially on large metal facade projects like the ones we’ve done for international brands like Shake Shack and Chagee

When big metal works are rushed, the consequences aren’t small ⚠️

What actually happens after a metal job is confirmed? 🤔

A lot more planning than people think

Here’s a simplified look at our process:

1️⃣ Fabrication planning comes first

Before drawing anything, we plan how the item will actually be fabricated.

Should parts be welded or V-cut and bent?
Is bending even possible for that design?

2️⃣ Sheet layout in AutoCAD

Once the fabrication method is decided, we draw the full metal sheet layout in AutoCAD, including bend lines and fabrication details

3️⃣ Export to laser cutting software

The drawing is exported to our laser cutting program, where our laser operator follows the exact layout to cut the metal

🧱 Optional: 3D modelling (for complex pieces)

For complicated projects, we sometimes create 3D models to:

• help clients visualise the final product
• guide fabricators during assembly
• solve tricky connection details before fabrication begins

All this planning happens before the metal is even cut

Hard truths we learnt from decades in metal fabrication (not motivational quotes).
1. Passion doesn’t keep a business alive — process does. Pick work that demands precision and master it.

2. Drawings, checks, and planning matter more than titles.

3. Being “cheap and accommodating” early makes you replaceable. Standards earn respect.

4. Stop trying to please every client. Do work you can stand behind.

5. Build relationships long before you need favours.

6. If a job cuts corners, it will cut you later.

7. Invest early — in machines, systems, and people.

8. Ask for bigger projects when you’re ready. No one hands them out.

9. Confidence comes from doing the work properly, repeatedly.

10. Learn one thing deeply. Specialists last longer than generalists.

11. Don’t compare your journey — every company grows at a different pace.

12 Safety, health, and rest matter. Tired teams make costly mistakes.

13. Take calculated risks early. Playing safe forever limits growth.
