Truly a grandmother's wish come true - to pass her means and livelihood on to her family. As 3rd Generation hawker, Nick Cheong, it ahs been rewarding for him to learn from the best. Having been guided by both his mother and grandmother over the past few years that helped him to hone his craft. For the family matriarch who started a humble street stall over 50 years ago at Track 60, off Old Jurong
Road, to where it is today, this has indeed been an evolutionary journey from "a grandmaster to disciple". Her daughter took over in 2005 and today, it is her grandson, Nick who is helming the stall. Watching her grandson at work today, she appreciates that he has both the interest and determination to preserve her legacy in making her delicious Fish Soup. Nick's typical long day starts at 8am and ends only 14 hours later after washing up the stall. "My mother is touched when customers come and buy our Fish Soup and even pack it for friends living abroad! Can you believe that? We are so happy for that patronage!"
