September is here and the neighbourhood’s got a full month of music lined up. Balearic, deep house, techno, RnB, hip hop, soul, dub, and everything in between — Five selectors, four different feelings. Something for every kind of Friday night. 🔊
4th Sept — Connor Gibson. [Balearic, Deep House, Techno]
UK-born DJ and record collector based in Singapore. Previously part of Birmingham’s Shadow City parties, he’s shared bills with Ben UFO, Joy Orbison, Hunee, Motor City Drum Ensemble, and Bonobo. Detroit house and deep house sit at the core of his sound, dug up through years of record shops, basements, and Discogs rabbit holes. His sets are patient and groove-led, less about obvious moments, more about letting the right records run.
11th Sept — HZQ [RnB, Hip Hop]
Spinning in Singapore for four years, HZQ draws from breaks, jungle, UK bassline, techno, and RnB to craft infectious sets that get crowds moving. He’s collaborated with international acts like Sam Binga, B-Clip, and Nikki Nair, with music featured on Bangkok Community Radio and France’s Radio Flouka.
18th Sept — ⓡ Ｔ JØ𝓱𝐍 + nate ng [Soul, Dub, Electronica]
RTJ, co-founder of Revision Music, threads dub, jazz, broken beat, and global electronica together with a curator’s ear and a deep record bag. Alongside him, uhuanlo (nate ng) is a proud product of Singapore’s underground DJ lineage, seeking soft grounds to celebrate the eclectic while staying true to the sounds that shaped him.
25th Sept — Daniel Lau [Ambient, Dub, Jazz, House]
A deep selector and record collector with a keen taste for fusing rhythmic grooves with dreamy, soulful soundscapes. Koonz has played across Offtrack, Headquarters, and Rasa, opening for international acts like Demi Riquísimo, Sansibar, and Dana Ruh.
