La Arepería [aˈɾepa]

Arepas are golden grilled, cornmeal cakes that are light and crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside.

You split them open like a pita and stuff with all sorts of awesomeness like shredded beef, marinated chunks of chicken, roasted pork or grilled cheese. Avocado, beans, eggs and coriander are just few of the many delicious complements for our favorite Colombian sandwich. We are Valentina and Violeta, two Colombian sisters making and serving traditionally handcrafted arepas at the Hornstulls market

. We want to bring an alternative, healthy and nutritional dish to individuals that want to try different flavors from the Caribbean kitchen. We are inspired by our favorite childhood meal called Arepa con queso, arepa filled with melted cheese. These little round creations are made of cornmeal; they are gluten-free and simply delightful. Arepas accompanied with our signature drink, agua e’ panela provide the perfect energy boost for a busy day in the city so come by and grab one of our different flavors!
