Today we celebrate a country known not only for its breathtaking landscapes and endless summer sunsets, but also for innovation, equality, and world-changing ideas. 🇸🇪

Did you know? Sweden’s National Day is celebrated on June 6th, marking two important historical moments: the election of King Gustav Vasa in 1523, which laid the foundation for modern Sweden, and the adoption of a new constitution in 1809.

From creating global icons like Spotify, IKEA, Volvo, H&M, and Ericsson, to shaping music history through artists and producers behind some of the world’s biggest hits, Sweden has continuously left a mark far beyond its borders.

Sweden is also a country of nature, creativity, entrepreneurship, and innovation, often ranked among the happiest and most sustainable nations in the world.

Stockholm just got its most stunning new destination. ✨

Villa Valentina opens tomorrow at Mälarterrassen, Slussen perched above the city with panoramic views over the Stockholm archipelago and Gamla Stan, this is unlike anything the Swedish capital has seen before.

Inspired by the warmth of Andalusia and the Mediterranean coast, Villa Valentina brings the soul of Spanish dining to one of Stockholm's most iconic locations. Think mosaic floors, hand-painted walls, Murano chandeliers, and an open kitchen and bar that flows seamlessly from indoors to a sun-drenched west-facing terrace.

Lunch hits different when the neighbourhood feels like yours.

Few things beat a proper weekday lunch where the food is honest, the room is buzzing and you don't have to think too hard about what to order. Södermalm does this better than anywhere in Stockholm and these spots do it better than almost anyone on Söder.

Hornsgatan Kvarterskrog
Classic corner spot on Hornsgatan with a daily changing plat du jour, modern Swedish comfort food and a warm room that always feels like it's been there forever. Schnitzel with Café de Paris butter, fresh pasta with mussels and a piccolo prosecco, or just whatever today's special happens to be it's all good here.


Florentine
Neapolitan pizza and handmade pasta in a room that feels like a 1970s Italian film set. 500 sqm, Murano chandeliers and an open kitchen that delivers from lunch to late night.


Kvarnen
Söder's original neighbourhood restaurant since the early 1900s. Meatballs, biff Rydberg and fried herring tradition on the plate and regulars at every table.
