OK all you Malmö friends, family and RE:DOers, listen up ! Well, read up really. If you missed out on my knot tying course last time it was held you're in luck. I have been requested to offer it again so I am. Just to remind you what it is. Its a 2.5 hour intensive course on knot tying and an introduction to all things rope and line oriented. The focus is on useful "everyday" knots, ones you can use around the house, in the garage or maybe to tie s**t down on the car roof. Knot tying isn't just for sailors, it's a life skill. However if you are a want-to-be-sailor this course is right up your alley. The course starts at 18:00 on Monday the 11th of April and is scheduled for 2.5 hours. It is held at RE:DO on Augustenborgstorget. It will be taught in English. The fee is 300sek and includes knot tying line (to keep, take home and practice with) and a fika pause. IMPORTANT INFO: there is a 10 person maximum class size and I have 6 people already signed up. So there are only 4 PLACES LEFT. Pro-tip if you have any questions about wine she is the one to ask. She also grew up in Kåseberga and knows a thing or two about fish. I nearly surprised the socks off of her with my latest invention, hummus inspired dip made with chickpeas and smoked tofu. She was completely convinced it was made with smoked fish. Allas it is as vegan as can be.

Yo, Kimberly here, RE:DO is open this week with slightly adjusted hours. 13:30-17:30.

On the menu, besides carefully measured coffee, we have a hearty French Lentil soup with, wait for it, ENGLISH muffin bread. Don't mention the...long lived animosity bewteen two nations that are being served as one meal.

This recipe is taken from one of my favorite cookbooks, Tweleve Months of Monestary Soups, gifted to me oh almost 30 years ago when I was an Au Pair in Lund still struggling with the Swedish language.

My kids were multi-lingual, Swedish and English speaking with a smattering of French via Australia. Thus, I was sure they were punking me, as they were won't to do, when I asked them what a sidewalk was called and they said trottoar.

I know you speak French. I want to know the Swedish.

Trottoar.

No Swedish.

Trottoar.

Hmmph.

Asked around because, internet wasn't a thing yet and no stinking way Swedes call a sidewalk trottoar.

Ok it's trottoar. Not gångbana, fotgång or sidobana, but trottoar.

And today we have soPPa on the menu not soPor. So if yoi need obscure lessons in Swedish and food in your belly you know where to be.

I have deleted my last post because…RE:DO will NOT be closed…The talented celebrity chef, TV personality and resident RE:DO foodie will be doing a magical pop-up surprise at the shop!! We’ll the festive holiday season is upon us once again! I want to wish the entire RE:DO family a very Merry Christmas and a stellar 2022!! The RE:DO Christmas schedule look like this: the shop will be closed 12/23-12/28 and 12/31-01/01. Heads up everyone. Turkey take over at RE:DO this weekend. Kimberly, our secret chef, will be serving up Thanksgiving dinner for lunch. Yes, lunch. 13:30 - 17 Sat-Sun. 27th-28th or until it's sold out whatever comes first. Two plates are already reserved.

Roasted turkey, mash potatoes, sweet potato souffle, stuffing, gravy of course. Oh can't forget cranberry sauce and greens.

Price to be decided, not expensive, but not cheap a woman has to eat.
