Offline Café A cozy board game café for families and friends to spend quality time together ☕️🎲✨ This is due to potential customer allergies.

We’re a board game café based in Gothenburg, Sweden, with a great selection of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, fika, snacks, and tabletop games. Our hours of operation are:
Tuesday - Friday: 17:00 - 22:00
Saturday: 14 - 22:00

We also host special weekly events, including chess nights, social mixers, and tournaments—there’s always something exciting happening! Ground Rules

rink Allowed (except water): Your purchases of our food and drinks directly support our business and keep us open!
👶 Age Policy: Ages 12 & Up Only. This is for the safety of young children (sharp table corners, choking hazards) and to maintain a calm, focused atmosphere for those who are playing complex games. However, we may make exceptions for well-behaved younger children (typically ages 10 - 11) who love board games and can remain calm throughout their stay.
🐾 No Pets Allowed. Only certified service animals are permitted.

In addition to open board gaming every day next week, we also have two fun events coming up!

1) Pawn Stars Chess Tournament ♟️
📅 September 9, 18:00–21:00
⏰ There is a possibility of finishing earlier depending on the number of players.

We currently have 4 players registered and would love to get some more! This is a friendly tournament open to players of all levels, so if you enjoy chess and want to test your skills, come join us!

The tournament entry fee is 100 kr per person. We’ll have medals for our top 3 players, as well as a small participation prize for everyone else. 🏅

2) Science Quiz Night 🔬🧪
📅 September 11, 18:00–20:30

We’re almost sold out! We currently only have 10 spots available, so if you’d like to join, now is the time to sign up!

Participation is 70 kr per person, with small prizes for the top winning teams. 🏆

Today we celebrated 1 year of Offline Café! 🎉🎲

We had a full house today and the café was packed with people playing games, meeting up with friends (or joining strangers!), and enjoying the day — pretty much exactly what we love to see at Offline Café.

For our anniversary, we decided to make today a free board gaming day, with no 55 kr game pass, as a small way of showing our appreciation to the community that has supported us throughout our first year.

A special thank you as well to everyone who supported us during the slower months this summer, whether by visiting us, donating to our fundraiser, sharing our posts, or simply cheering us on. It really helped us keep going.

It’s been quite a year, and we’re so happy to have reached this milestone. Thank you to everyone who has been part of it!

Here’s to another year of board games, good company, and hopefully many more full houses. 🎲❤️

After taking a break this summer, we’re excited to get the chess boards back out and welcome everyone to our next tournament in just a few weeks!

This is a friendly, laidback tournament. All skill levels are welcome. Most players who have joined us previously have been rated around 1000–1700, so whether you’re a regular player or just looking for a fun challenge, come join us!

Prizes include medals for our top 3 players, and a small participation prize for everyone else.

💰 Entry fee: 100 kr per person

⏱️ Format: 10 minutes + 5-second increment per move

📅 Registration deadline: September 8

Tonight we journeyed to Middle-earth for our Lord of the Rings Trivia Challenge — and oh boy, was it a tough one! 🧙‍♂️💍
