Our dinner experience is very much a Mediterranean way of dining. You can look forward to a joyful evening that ends late with countless empty plates, uncorked bottles, and shared stories.

We stay true to our values of simplicity, purity, and seasonal flavors with a Mediterranean flair.

Our little restaurant is open Wednesdays through Saturdays, and we can host up to 8 people per evening. Please book your place at our community table in advance.

Of course you can simply uncork a bottle of Grattamacco, enjoy its purity and freshness, and experience love at first sip. But we believe knowing the winery and its heritage, the people and their values, and the vineyards and their terroir will further enhance your sensual pleasure and admiration for a wine that has shaped the history of the celebrated Bolgheri appellation.

Grattamacco is a magnificent estate on top of a hill amidst forests and sea breezes. “Less technology, more terroir” — the second oldest winery of Bolgheri is a true pioneer with an unconventional approach: Organic farming matters. White clay matters. Altitude matters. Sangiovese matters.

Here, under the century-old oak tree of Grattamacco, the legendary photo of the five founding members of what would become one of the world’s most prestigious wine zones was taken.

Curious about another pioneer story? Get comfortable under an oak tree in our Countryhouse garden, enjoy a glass of the first ever Bolgheri Rosso, and ask Michael to tell you about the bond between the Tipa winemaking family and the victorious Swiss sailing team Alinghi.
