♻️ FREE Creative Upcycling Workshop!

This Sunday (27 September), I'm partnering with Ealing Council to offer 15 free tickets to my 1-hour Creative Upcycling Workshop at Ealing Library as part of Ealing Climate Week.

In this hands-on session, you'll learn how to:
🪡 Repair clothes with patches
🪡 Master a few simple hand-sewing techniques
🪡 Give worn or damaged clothing a new lease of life

No sewing experience is needed, bring a clothes or a bag to refresh.

Atelier Zorro is about making the most of what you already own, learning practical skills, and meeting people who care about creativity, sustainability, and community.

This is why AI will never replace art.

I asked ChatGPT to create a watercolour painting of a beautiful house I saw on my last holiday.

If I'm honest, it created something prettier than my own painting 😨

But there's one thing it can never do... have real feelings and lived experience.

It can't know how much I love bougainvillea flowers. It can't experience sitting by the sea during a time of healing and recovery, painting with a £5 children's watercolour palette.

And that's what gives this painting meaning.

Watercolour is my form of yoga, a mindfulness practice to be present and go with the flow.

The flow of water and pigment keeps me present, quiets racing thoughts, and reminds me to let go of control.

You can't predict exactly where the paint will go, so you learn to work with it rather than against it.

Sometimes, painting also expresses feelings that are hard to put into words.

I think that's the beauty of art. You don't need expensive materials or perfect skills to start.

The value isn't in creating something flawless, it's in the experience of creating.

This painting holds a memory, a feeling, and a moment in my life. And that's something AI can never generate.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by Ealing BEAT (Ealing Beat) over the past two weekends. ❤️

Lately, I've been giving myself permission to let my creativity wander and explore without an agenda, follow curiosities, and allow ideas to cross-pollinate.

I've found that some of the most meaningful and original creations emerge from those unexpected paths.

At the same time, Gertrudo (my anxiety voice) has been very loud during this period of uncertainty, questioning everything and keeping me on my toes.

That's why every conversation, every encouraging word, every returning customer, and every purchase has meant so much.

Your support has quieted Gertrudo a little and filled my heart a lot.💛

Thank you for believing in my work, supporting my creative journey, and reminding me that taking the scenic route is sometimes exactly the right path. 🥹✨

Meet Guillermo, my unwilling product tester. 😅

I've been experimenting with some new iron-on patches, and let's just say he's not completely convinced... but I am!

I love finding simple ways to upcycle clothing and make old favourites feel new again. A patch can completely transform a t-shirt, jumper, denim jacket, tote bag, or even a pair of jeans.

Browsing some of my favourite jacket designs at the art fair and sharing the little details that make them so special.

I love jackets with personality. The kind that spark conversations with strangers, make people look twice, and tell a story before you've even said a word.

For me, the best designer jackets are about expressing who you are and celebrating the things that make you different. 💛

So don't let narrow-minded opinions dim your colours.

The world needs more individuality, more creativity, and more people brave enough to wear what feels like them. ❤️

How did I end up in a "magazine"?

By creating things, doubting myself, making things anyway, and eventually realising I was doing exactly what artists do... whether they call themselves artist or not. 🤣
