Sunlight International School was dedicated and officially established in 1999 as a Philipino school then it has transferred to The American Curriculim in 2005/2006. It was firstly established in Solaimania District then it changed the location to Olayia District. The school that offers from Preschool to Grade 9. ast two years, SLIS was stabled in its population of 500 students for both boys and girls. We two sections from Preschool up to Grade 9. This year (2010) the number has increased into 860 students. The school is located in the heart of the city of Riyadh, very accessible to commericial establishments and some schools around the district. School year starts from September and ends in May. Class schedule per day is forty minutes per subject and seven periods a day. Most of the students enrolled in this school are Arabs nationals. They don't have any problems in the language since our major teaching instruction is English and Arabic and French as the second language. According to the original architectural proposal, the design of Sunlight International School is based on a linear circulation spine from which the various elements of the facility function. The spine expands to become a student commons,which is the heart of the complex, allowing students to easily maintain their orientation within the facility. The commons functions as a cafeteria, lobby space for the yard, and an activity center for students as well as the community.
