Not all coffee cherries look the same. 🍒

These cherries show a rare yellow–orange color with natural red streaks — a trait often linked to Arabica landrace genetics.

The red lines come from anthocyanins, natural plant pigments that develop during ripening and sun exposure.

Why is this interesting?

Cherries like these are often associated with:
• High genetic diversity
• Smaller, elongated fruit
• Greater aromatic complexity in the cup

With the right processing, coffees from these trees can reveal floral notes, vibrant fruit character, and elegant acidity.

Because in specialty coffee, the journey to an exceptional cup starts on the tree.

✨ The harvest has begun!
We’re excited to announce the first harvest of coffee cherries from Qayar Farm — one of Saudi Coffee Company’s own farms, directly managed by our agricultural team.
Today, we picked the first 20 kg of cherries and started experimental processing batches to prepare for the upcoming peak season.
This is where the journey of quality begins — from the highlands of Khawlan, from tree to cup 🌱☕
