The preAFSForum2026 webinar, jointly organized by CABI and WFP, explored how special investment programmes can help overcome barriers facing young people and women, while combining finance with capacity strengthening, innovation, market linkages and ecosystem support.

Day 3 is where ideas start meeting capital.

Across , the conversations will move from what Africa’s food systems need to what it will take to finance it.

The Deal Room and Investment Room are a big part of that. They bring investors, financial institutions, governments, development partners and agribusinesses into the same space to tackle one of the sector’s biggest barriers: how to reduce risk and unlock more capital for businesses ready to grow.

On Day 3, that means a particular focus on de-risking investment for agribusiness innovation, alongside wider conversations on trade, leadership and building stronger food markets across the continent.

Because the money may exist. The businesses may exist. The real work is closing the distance between them.
