Is zero-waste kitchen something you heard of? How much easier is to come back from shopping and have no plastic left? Thanks god we have a choice in our city. It’s more like “coming back to the roots” because before people had had only markets full of veggies, fruits or grains without useless packaging. Ofc there are still places in the world practicing that, but western world needs to really rethink and apply these “changes”. Next time you come back from the store, pay attention at the amount of trashes ( boxes, foils, bottles etc. ), and imagine how many we are in the world, and how much waste we produce everyday...

“Raw” version of some dishes I prepared for friend’s bday party last Saturday. Didn’t have time to take a photo of final results as food was disappearing very fast! And that’s a good sign :) Mother Nature gives us the most beautiful gifts. It’s our role to use the magic and let people around us experience her love. So my friends! As mentioned yesterday, today I had a food tasting, so basically I had to cook for the chef and wait for his opinion. The fresh products I chose were 100% seasonal and local. It was pretty stressful but a friend of mine, who gave me a lift in the morning, decided to stay for few hours and help me to manage, prepare and clean stuff. So here is one of the main courses I prepared today!
Potato purée topped with roasted whole carrots covered with beets, all served on rich creamy coconut sauce. What do you think? :)

Preparing for food tasting tomorrow. 🥬🥦🍆🍠🌽I was asked to prepare 2 starters and 2 main courses all vegetarian/vegan and from local and seasonal products. Quite a challenge especially in this time of the year... :) but nothing is impossible. Every time i have opportunity I go to my favorite zero-waste food market .they have organic veggies and fruits, oils and vinegars... all in bulk, so buy as much as you want and don’t forget your packaging :) tomorrow I might write more about my challenge and share news so stay tuned !

Today was a difficult day, my child couldn’t leave me even for one second... so we spent almost all day together in the kitchen :) and look what I managed to prepare at the end of this day! Vegan creamy lentil curry. It’s totally delish, smooth and full of taste. I used green and brown lentils, coconut milk, cumin and coriander seeds, fresh ginger and roasted cashews... mmmmmmmm
