Everything begins with a small green coffee seed, which has almost no flavor. Slowly and patiently, we transform it into an incredibly aromatic, amazingly complex coffee bean. The aroma of freshly roasted coffee is evocative, intoxicating and all-round delicious. This is the art we inherited and the one which we decided to preserve, keeping our roasting process artisanal, thus giving to our coffees the purest aromas and flavors, only granted by the artisanal roasting and judicious raw materials selection. This way we can maintain the touch of typical Portuguese style in our coffees adding some intersting aspects of the "thrid wave" coffee culture. Our Portuguese-German project "Santos & Knafla" is based on a coffee roastery, existing since 1972. Based on the skills of our roaster, S&K was founded in 2016.
