Unfortunately, Declan isn’t well today, so this evening’s gig at Restaurante OlímpicoRestaurante Olímpico is cancelled. All being well, he’ll be back next week.

So, the much talked about football match wasn’t moved in the end, clearing the way for another great night at Restaurante Olímpico with Declan, last night! The terrace was soon full to capacity, even if a few were there to watch Brasil v Norway. And, as always, we had a few singers in the audience. So, we say thank you to….

…. Julie, Matilda, Susana (who treated everybody to some Portuguese Fado!), Charlie, Douglas, Terry, Lynn and Sue, and finally, Olímpico’s very Ana and here are sidekick - daughter Mariana!

Thanks to Dîmas and his crew who, as always, coped admirably in keeping the service going throughout the whole of the evening!

It was another great night at Restaurante Olímpico with Declan, last night! The weather was good to us once again and, by sunset, the terrace was full! And again, by the end of the night, almost everybody was up on their feet dancing. We had a few singers in amongst the crowd too - some familiar faces and some new. So, we say thank you to….

…. Julie, her husband Douglas, Paul, John, Jade, who sang with her daughter Charlotte, and then duetted with Declan for The Beautiful South’s ‘Perfect 10’. Finally, there was Ana and her daughter, Mariana, who always bring the house down with Dido’s ‘White Flag’.

Many thanks to Dîmas and all his staff who kept everybody fed and watered throughout the course of the evening.

We had another brilliant night at Restaurante Olímpico with Declan Ryan, last Sunday night! The weather was glorious and we had another packed terrace! By the end of the night, most of the assembled crowd were up on their feet dancing! And as is so often the case with our Sunday afternoons here at Olímpico, we had a few singers amongst the crowd.

So, thank you to all those ‘eager beavers’ who braved it up to the mic to sing us a song or two! They were…. Paul, John, Lee (who played guitar and sang a couple of his own compositions), Trish, her husband Ian, Mo, Amanda, and finally Patsy.

*** RHONA ***

We also remembered one of our regulars who passed away recently: Rhona Bradley. Rhona was a regular at both Olímpico and O Favinha, where our Sunday afternoons began. Rhona always liked to sing ‘Only You’ by Yazoo and ABBA’s ‘I Have a Dream’. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. We’ve included a couple of photos of Rhona in our montage today.

Dîmas and all his staff were on form as always, ensuring that nobody went hungry or thirsty.

It was a great first night back for the 2026 season at Restaurante Olímpico with Declan, last night! The weather was perfect, the terrace was full, and we had a good smattering of singers. And so, without further ado….

…we’d like to say thank you to those who stepped up to the mic! They were… Steve (a.k.a. ‘Honey’), John, Patsy, George, who sang with Audrey, who sang with Paddy (Alan), Chris, Kyle, Olímpico’s very own Ana, and her little sidekick, Mariana.

Dîmas and the crew were back into the swing of things, making sure that everybody was attended to!
