Z radością gościmy Państwa w naszej restauracji! przygotowywali potrawy własnej receptury z gęsi, którymi zachwycał się cały kraj. Kontynuujemy tą rodzinną tradycję i dbamy, aby nasze dania zachowały ten niepowtarzalny smak.
Our grandparents started to serve food in 1938, and went on to open a restaurant in 1945, just after the World War II. Our grandmom was born in poor family, nothing ever anticipated that she will become so successful with her business. It was war, she had to earn money, she was reselling goods from forests (mushrooms, berries, wood), helping during haymaking and doing any possible work to get any income. It's not clear to us how did she came up with the idea that made her to start to cook and how did she invented our unique secret recipe for what is now called by many the best dish in the world: soft cooked goose stomachs. She started though and from the beginning it was spectacular success. People from around the country were coming to try it, as the rumour about her delicious dish spread rapidly around. Even in hard times in Poland during communist regime her restaurant remain untouched as the business was apolitical and seemed for the regime as doing no harm. Especially that communist Chief secretary Edward Gierek (head of the country) came to visit as well to try the dish. Not only the regime allowed her to run the restaurant which all liked so much, but they did not put any burdens administrative or financial which would obstruct the business or prevent it from going on. The restaurant was not political in any way and it was only about serving good local food. My grandmother treated all customers the same and this probably helped her to survive communist times. We are really touched to see that even now people who are already 90 years old or so, still come to the restaurant now with their children, grand or grand grandchildren to tell them the story about the place were even in hard times they always could get good food and forget for a moment about various obstacles. My parents who run the business now are proud that still now after so many years this customers are coming back as they appreciate that although time passes the food there, still tastes the same. Politicians, musicians, actors and many more persons from various backgrounds visit the restaurant throughout the years, my grandma was especially happy to host Karol Wojtyła just before he became first polish pope Jan Paweł II. The restaurant was never advertised in any way, people know about it thanks to unique delicious local food which is being recommended by those who tried it. The restaurant was honoured to receive many awards among others the Gold Pearl 2008, and it's food, for example goose stomachs, backed goose, backed duck, żurek polis sour soup, cranberries marmalade, is listed on the list of traditional local food maintained by the Ministry of Agriculture in Poland. Besides goose stomaches, we serve chicken and turkey stomaches, goose, duck and chicken roasted in an ancient oven. Our best dish- soft cooked stomaches are in very good price- 3,5 euro, we serve it with sour soup in to drink, bread backed by us, sour cucumbers and crainberries
