Some places don’t shine because of fancy lights…
They shine because of the people who love them.
Our café is one of those places.
Our electricity bill once suddenly jumped to 1.6 million rupees a month and above,
We requested authorities to review the bill check the technicalities and asked for permission to install solar on the rooftop
a rooftop that we legally rent as part of the entire building.
Yet we were still not allowed to install solar,
even though the situation wasn’t our fault.
Technical issues with electricy came with heavy losses.
Food spoiled, equipment damaged,
and a business built with hard work and heart
was thrown into darkness.
But even in that darkness… we saw something brighter than electricity.
On our CCTV, every night,
families would still walk to our door…
trying to open it…
hoping we were open.
Our regulars.
People who had memories here…
people who made this café feel alive.
That’s when we realised
this place isn’t just a café.
It’s a part of people’s lives.
We cannot let it go.
So today, we are standing again.
We have once again requested DHA for solar permission.
This time, they have asked us to officially re-submit the application.
They said they will review it again
and hopefully allow us to install solar so we can operate without fear.
We are praying, hoping, believing
that this time…
they won’t disappoint us.
If you ever laughed here,
celebrated here,
or felt at home even for a moment
we ask for your prayers, your support, and thank you for your patience.
The café is now open
And it is shining brighter than ever
not because of electricity…
but because of the people who never stopped believing in us. 🤗🌟
