Researchers, development specialists, and industry representatives visited Mahmood Group's BCI clusters in Multan to gain a deeper understanding of cotton farming, processing, and the broader textile value chain.

The visit began with discussions alongside smallholder farmers, who shared the impact of MG-funded farm programs on their livelihoods, their experiences adopting Better Cotton practices, and the challenges climate change continues to present to cotton farming communities.

The delegation also met female participants involved in the program, learning more about their contributions and the role these initiatives play in creating opportunities and supporting livelihoods.

The visit concluded at MGA, where guests explored the next stages of the cotton journey, gaining insight into textile manufacturing, sustainable practices, renewable energy initiatives, and the people who support the value chain from farm to fabric.

We appreciate the participation of colleagues from Better Cotton, CCRI, MNS-UAM, and HNEE Germany, whose engagement and insights contributed to meaningful discussions throughout the visit.

As part of the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) Spinners Committee programme in Türkiye, Anum Zahid, Team Lead Business Affairs, Sustainability & CSR, joined representatives from across the global textile industry for a series of discussions and company visits.

Hosted by ITMF and organized in collaboration with the Turkish Textile Employers' Association (TTEA), the programme included visits to SASA, Meltem Kimya, Kipaş Textiles, Sanko Textile, and Kara Fiber. Across the three-day programme, participants explored polyester production and approaches to circular production.

The visits provided an opportunity to observe how companies across different stages of the textile value chain are approaching production, resource management, recycling, and material development.

We extend our appreciation to ITMF and TTEA for hosting the programme and coordinating engagements with leading organizations across the textile value chain.
