Few months ago a person who introduced himself as Tehsildar Zulfiqar came to Qabail with AC Raiwand Adnan Rasheed's squad. They ordered food worth 2 Lac. AC Adnan Rasheed’s squad took our cooks and few other staff members to a place where the food was served. The service was given by Qabail's staff which was to be charged separately (in total 2 lac 50 thousand).
After the gathering ended, the AC staff and Zulfiqar told us that the payment will be made at Qabail Johar town.
However, after many weeks the payment was still not made. When it was demanded, Qabail's staff was harassed and threatened with closing down the restaurant.
On Qabail’s manager’s insistence, few instalments were paid after months, each time the demand for payment would result in action against Qabail and would be sealed.
Zulfiqar, who introduced himself as Tehsildar told us that AC Adnan Rasheed would make the payment, each time Qabail’s staff demanded the payment. He would tell the staff that they should be thankful for what ever has been paid. Because of this harassment and nonpayment of the dues, the salaries would be delayed at a time when our restaurant was already facing losses in millions.
Adnan Rasheed won't take calls and again when few days ago AC Adnan Rasheed was contacted, he didn't respond, and when Tehsildar Zulfiqar was asked for the payment of remaining Rs 50,000 of food and Rs 50,000 of service charges, the Tehsildar refused and instead AC and tehsildar sent a team to Qabail and on lame pretext arrested the staff and sealed the restaurant again.
One of the staff member who was arrested is an orphan A level student who is studying on scholarship (applying for top British & IVY league universities) who was given the job so that he could make his both ends meet. He was beaten up and abused just for asking about the violation because of which they were sealing Qabail. Later he was pushed in a private car and threatened that an FIR would be registered against him for harassing a female AC staff member.
The mother of this kid was clueless for the entire night about the whereabouts of her kid. This orphan student is also worried now that the FIR against him would affect his foreign admissions.
It is requested that action be taken against AC Adnan Rasheed and Tehsildar Zulfiqar for harassing and beating our staff time and again, causing us losses by targeting Qabail and closing it down on one pretext or other, and getting us our recovery of the dues from these two officials.
