Brews and Rally: Inizio Cafe Mini Pickleball Tournament
Welcome to our Mini Pickleball Tournament! Please read the rules carefully to help keep games fair, fun, and organized for everyone.
Tournament Format
- Games will be played in a round-robin format with groups of 4, each match lasting 15minutes. If the rally exceeds the allotted time, the team with points wins the match.
- Match schedules and court assignments will be announced before the event starts.
- Players must be ready at their assigned court at least 5 minutes before match time. A 5-minute grace period will be given. Failure to appear may result in a default loss.
Match Rules
- Standard pickleball rules apply.
- All matches are doubles. Skill level across all categories are: Advanced Beginner, Novice, and Early Intermediate.
- Games are played to 11 points, with a 15-minute time limit. If the rally exceeds the allotted time, the team with points wins the match.
- In semifinals/finals, organizers may extend matches to 15 points, win by 2.
Serving Rules
- Serves must be CLEARLY underhand with paddle contact below the waist.
- The serve must land diagonally across the opponent’s service court.
- Only one serve attempt is allowed.
PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT:
* Line calls should be made honestly and fairly.
* Warm-up time is limited to 3–5 minutes.
* Organizers reserve the right to shorten games due to time constraints or weather conditions.
* Sportsmanship is expected on each one. Respect all players, referees, organizers, and spectators. Unsportsmanlike conduct, arguing, or offensive language may result in warnings or disqualification.
Injuries & Safety
- Play at your own risk.
- Players should hydrate and warm up properly before matches.
- Report injuries immediately to tournament organizers.
Decisions & Disputes
- Tournament organizers have the final decision on all disputes and rule interpretations.
- Rules may be adjusted if necessary to ensure smooth tournament flow.
