SAVORES DE ZAMBOANGA NOW OPEN| Savores de Zamboanga, the weekend food hub in the city’s central business district is now open.
Mayor Khymer Olaso together with Chief of Staff Celso Lobregat and city department heads led the ceremonial ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday afternoon, May 22, at the City Hall grounds, signaling the start of Savores de Zamboanga as part of the celebration of Zamboanga Verano 2026.
The weekend food hub is located along N.S. Valderrosa Street and Ma. Clara Street which gathers dozens of local vendors and restaurateurs offering a wide variety of street foods and local dishes.
Operations will run every weekend starting today, May 22: Friday from 5:30 p.m. to midnight, Saturday from 1 p.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The activity is organized by the City Tourism Office, City Licensing Office in collaboration with other city departments.

‘SAVORES DE ZAMBOANGA’, OPENS FRIDAY, MAY 22 IN THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT| The city government launches ‘Savores de Zamboanga,’ a weekend food hub at N.S. Valderrosa and Maria Clara Streets near City Hall on Friday, May 22.

The activity will operate from Friday to Sunday evenings and is based on Executive Order No. KHYM-135-2026 issued by Mayor Khymer Olaso. The program supports efforts to strengthen gastronomic tourism and sustain economic activity in the central business district (CBD).

The EO authorizes implementation of the project, including traffic rerouting and operational measures, following coordination with and concurrence of the City Council.

The activity will feature local cuisine and products. Operations will run every weekend starting May 22: Friday from 5:30 p.m. to midnight, Saturday from 1 p.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., with selected streets closed to vehicles during these hours.
