Marito's is a family dream of Ayie, Icel and Nina - the children of Mario and Charito Clemente. The flagship product "tsokolateng pinoy" – is a traditional Filipino thick hot chocolate drink made from cacao and is made into a hot chocolate beverage. Mario & Charito learned about the products from Chari
to's parents, Juanito & Mercedes Villegas who makes the hot drink especially during the holidays. The family and the relatives liked the product so much during these days. During the 90’s, Mario & Charito thought of making the “Tsokolateng Pinoy” as Christmas gifts for the relatives. All who have received the gift are very happy as they liked the product so much. From then on, “Tsokolateng Pinoy” has been a traditional gift from Mario and Charito. At the same time, they start to make small batches extra as some of the relatives have requested if they can buy extra to be able to send to overseas friends and relatives. It has reached the US, Canada, and Australia. Two decades after, 2010. Ayie & Icel, are already working as OFW in Dubai, UAE dreamt of making “Tsokolateng pinoy” not only a family tradition but as a family business. Time goes by, a lot has happened. Another decade has passed, year 2020, has been a not so good year for everyone all over the world. Everyone has been down and broken. However, Clemente family in 2020 decided and took the break and made something good to fight through that brokenness. Mario, Charito, Ayie, Zara and Nina work hand in hand to build Marito's. Marito’s that is just once a dream is now a reality.
