We are closing not because we are stopping…but because we are stepping into something bigger! We are bringing our stories to the Diwang Mindanao Book Fair at Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan.

From April 23–27, we will be there to launch our first collection of zines under Operation Ink Publishing House

This café has always been more than a space for coffee. It has been a place where dreams were written, shared, and transformed into magic!

Now, those voices are traveling.

To everyone who has sat in our space, written on our tables, cried into our pages, and found pieces of themselves in our stories, this moment is yours too.

We’ll see you at Xavier University.

Until then, kitakits mga kasimanwa.

We are incredibly proud to recognize:
✨ 𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐚 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐋. 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐨(16y/o) – News Writing (English) from Sto. Niño National High School
✨ 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝐉𝐨𝐲 𝐃. 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨 (16y/o) – Photojournalism (Filipino) from Sto. Niño National High School
✨ 𝐑𝐞𝐛𝐬 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐃. 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐚ñ𝐚 (12/yo) Photojournalism (Filipino) from Sto. Niño Central Elementary School

On April 10, 2026, Edaya’s Star Terrace Café, in partnership with Operation Ink Library, had the honor of hosting a small but meaningful focus group for our very own National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) qualifiers.

These young journalists from Sto. Niño will be representing our community at the National Schools Press Conference 2026 in Ormoc City, which is a prestigious national platform that gathers the best campus journalists across the Philippines. I’m also proud to add that they are all from my humble almae matres.

NSPC is more than just a competition. It is the culmination of a rigorous journey. Students first compete at the school level, advance to division and regional levels, and only the most outstanding earn the right to represent their regions on the national stage.

I was a GMA Presidential Campus Journalism Awardee in high school and yesterday I was happy to share my experiences, insights, and practical knowledge from my own journey as a journalist.

Our deepest thanks to Ma’am Solas if SNNHS for the opportunity to be part of this journey. What an honor to help foster learning, confidence, and strong morale among these students as they prepare to travel to Ormoc. Grabe gid amon pride nga mkasupport sa amon kasimanwa as they traverse the path to NSPC. Tani makabulig man ang gamay namon ng pabaon sa inyo ❤️

Lean, April, and Rebs: your community stands behind you! We are so proud of you for carrying the name of Sto. Niño with passion, purpose, and talent!✨🥹

One of my greatest treasures is being raised by farmers.

There is something undeniably sacred about knowing where your food comes from. It’s not just from a supermarket — it is rooted from the concert of nature that surrounds you. The rice we serve at Edaya’s Star Terrace is not just an ingredient; it is a story.

It is patience, labor, inheritance.

It is home.

And when our harvest isn’t enough to meet the love and demand from all of you, we turn to the Octaviano family at the public market—people who carry that same quiet integrity in the way they grow and share their food.

This is the heaven I return to when the world gets too loud.

Not in escape, but in remembrance.

And in celebration of life and living.

From our fields to your table,
All love from Edaya’s Star Family ❤️
