September 17th "Feed the Kids Day" at GALA-Sarap! We had another great turnout. The weather was ok this week... no rain! We served a total of 123 kids! We served macaroni soup with chicken and vegetables, chicken hot dogs and dinner rolls this week! The kids loved it and are so happy to come every week! Thanks again to all our staff, volunteers, and sponsors!

September 10th "Feed the Kids Day" at GALA-Sarap! We had a great turnout. The weather was heavy rains in the morning but by late afternoon the clouds parted. We served a total of 105 kids! We served spaghetti this week! The kids are always so thankful. Its great to see them so happy. Thanks again to all our staff, volunteers, and sponsors!

August 27th Feed the Kids Day. We had a great turnout. It was overwhelming. We served a total of 188 kids! We had about 30 meals left over that we packed up and took to the kids living under the bridge. We served chicken macaroni soup with bread and drink! Kids loved it! August 20 "Feed the Kids" day at GALA-Sarap! We were totally overwhelmed with the turnout tonight. The kids started gathering at the store around 5:00pm. We started serving at 5:30 and we ran out of Chicken Arroz Caldo in less than 30 minutes after serving 72. So I ran out to get ingredients for spaghetti. We ended up feeding 147 kids! It was a great turnout and the kids were super happy! They didn't seem to mind waiting for us to cook spaghetti. Thanks again to all our staff, volunteers, and sponsors! Without you guys this would not be possible!

August 13th Feed the Kids Day! We fed 165 kids!!! It was amazing! We gave out Jollibee and McDonald's and the kids loved it! This was such a treat for the kids! One parent told me that their kid has never had Jollibee before because they can't afford it. Hope you enjoy the photos and videos. One of our regular customers is a jeepney driver and he happened to be there when the kids started showing up. He was nice enough to let us use his jeepney for seating and some kids were able to eat there. Thanks again to all of our sponsors, staff and volunteers!

July 30 Feed the kids of Taytay night at GALA-Sarap! It was a very wet Saturday night, but we still had a very good turnout. We fed 51 kids Filipino style spaghetti. In case you are wondering Filipino style spaghetti is a sweet sauce, mixed with hot dogs and grated cheddar cheese. We added some ground chicken to it as well. The kids loved it! Thanks again to all of our supporters and staff and volunteers for their generous donations and hard work!

I'm overwhelmed with the turnout tonight at our "Kids Eat free" night here in Taytay. We fed 84 kids!!!! We had macaroni soup with chicken, hot dogs and dinner rolls for the set menu for the kids. But we ran out of the set menu, so a few kids had Dinuguan (a pork meat dish with blood) and rice. We can do this because of a few generous donators from the US. Thank you so much to the ones that have donated to this project! May God bless you abundantly for your kindness!!! I mean seriously.....84 kids!!!! That is amazing!!! Thank you also to our staff and volunteers that worked hard serving and cleaning up after all the kids.

This is James. I mentioned him in an earlier post. He is an 8 year old boy that is roaming the streets at night. He lives 6 blocks from our canteen. He lives with his mother and father, a 9 year old sister and a 1 year old brother. I'm not sure of their financial situation, but this kid is obviously hungry every night. He has been here 3 nights in a row. Last night we were already closed, so I could only offer Chips or ice cream, he chose ice cream. Hahaha. Tonight he came earlier and we asked of he was hungry. He said yes. So we feed him from our menu. He was really hungry, because he finished 1 serving of rice and asked for another. He also had a serving of menudo. Because of the generous donations from our sponsors we can now offer kids in this situation food every day. We will not advertise it. But if we see a need we will fulfill it. Thank you guys so much!!!

We had our 2nd official "Feed the kids of Taytay" day on Saturday. It was a rainy night but we still fed 42 kids! The menu was a delicious Chicken Arrozcaldo (chicken soup with rice and spices), hots dogs, quail eggs and dinner roll. The kids loved it! Thank you to all our staff and volunteers! And a big thank you to all of our donators! Without you guys we couldn't do this every week!
The kids are very grateful for their meal. And most of them make sure to thank us before they go. 🙂
