There are nights I can’t rest,
not because I’m awake,
but because my thoughts are louder than sleep.

They replay old wounds,

rewrite endings that never happened,

and ask questions with no answers waiting.

It’s not the dark that keeps me up,

it’s the noise inside me
that refuses to dim.
