The weekend that was.

The weather got the better of us for a day, which meant closing up for everyone’s safety and giving the team a little unexpected pause.

It’s never easy having to close, especially on a weekend. There’s prep that’s already been done, food already been made, shifts that need rearranging, and a whole day of service that simply doesn’t happen.

And we get that’s part of running a little place like this. Sometimes you work with what the day gives you.

Despite all that, we’re grateful for everyone who spent part of their weekend with us whether it was a busy table, a quick coffee, a long breakfast, a quiet corner for a while, or a spanning day until we closed our vinyl session.

Sun’s out and we’re getting back on our regular rhythm. See you around.

Due to the weather, we’ll be closing a little earlier today and will only be open until 5PM.

Keeping everyone safe and dry is the priority. If you’re around, come by for a coffee, something warm to eat, and a little quiet time before we call it a day.

See you tomorrow, hopefully with a kinder weather.

Long weekends at Sspace are always a little bit of everything. Busy tables, lots of hellos, the kind of rush we love. And then there are quiet moments we love just as much.

Today, we hope you’re finding the time and a little bit of room to just breathe. See you around here!

Some people come here to work, make art, catch up with friends, or just sit quietly with a drink and their book, or thoughts. All of which are good enough of a reason to linger just a little while longer.

Thank you for making this room feel gentle, warm, and human.

Our doors are open. ☕️ 🥖 🪴

Before the loaves come out of the oven, there’s this. Flour, water, time, and a starter we care for every week.

One of the good things around here that “take their time.”

PSA: We’re working on a few improvements this week so the café can serve you better in the long run. We’re still open on our regular hours, but our toilet will be temporarily unavailable while the work is being done.

See you around for your regular coffee fix!
