Jose Karlo's Coffee Shop José Karlo’s Coffee is the longest running coffee shop in Tacloban City, serving since 2001. Niño Church.

Locals were very fond of the coffee shop, they made up the colloquial term 'JK' from the initials of José Karlo's, which also meant 'just kidding,' a fun yet easy recall. JK is a place a lot of people grew up with, since it was one of the few hangout places with a cozy, spacey, and homey ambience. Its accessibility also made it undemanding for meet ups between friends as it is just across one of Tacloban's landmark, the Sto.
